Last Show of the '09 season this Saturday...

I hope one and all were able to get out there this Black Friday Weekend and take advantage of the wicked deals going on by the numerous retailers doing just about everything to get you in their store. Some were just silly.. silly to pass up.

This is just a quick reminder that we will be having our last public appearance this Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at Milford High School..the show starts at 9am and runs until 3:30pm. This craft show has a little bit for everyone so, get there early for the best selection!

See you Saturday!

We're back online!

I am proud to announce that after a six month hiatus, we are once again accepting orders on our website; www.twincreekfarm.com

Numerous people were wondering why we were not taking order and in a few cases, whether we were gone forever. Here's a quick summary.

For about seven years, I dreamed of hiking the Appalachian Trail. For five years I tried extremely hard to make that dream a reality. As most people can appreciate, life seems to get in the way of the things we want to do, especially ones that require such a large time commitment (five to six months.) However, it was mid-2008 that I decided that I was going to make a real, serious attempt to 'thru-hike' the trail. Sacrifices had to be made, both in my private life and within the company. So, finally on April 1st, 2009 I found myself on an airplane heading for Atlanta, Georgia and on to Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.

Many, many, many rainy days, five months and five days, actually, and 2,178.3 miles later, I would find myself atop Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine. A dream of a lifetime, fulfilled.

So, now I am back, having fun playing/experimenting in the kitchen, eating wonderful, happy, healthy, non-dehydrated food and preparing for the fall show season.. life is good.

Snow, Ice and everything nice... Milford Craft Show.

To all those that came out to visit us again this year at the Milford High School Craft Show, a big thank you!

Upon leaving the south Dayton area in the early morning, we found ourselves slowly and cautiously passing countless incidents (cars in ditches) and numerous accidents involving two or more vehicles during our unpredictable 2½ hours (46.3 mile) journey from Centerville to Milford.

Once we arrived, we quickly learned that we were not the only people who were delayed by the weather. Our booth was set up in record time, even with the crowds slowly engulfing the halls of the school. Customers, taking note that we were setting up and were minutes (7-10) from being ready, started waiting and queuing up so they could be first in line..all for that ample elbow room. We appreciated your patience!!

After our speedy setup, we were off and running, staying nice and busy for the rest of the day. It was great seeing some familiar faces again this year, people who wanted to get their last minute gifts for the holidays and/or those stocking up for the next few months. A couple of customers from the West Chester Farmers' Market showed up as well, thanks, hope to see you all next year too! I heard from some others that last year they were the recipients of our seasonings and had waited all year for the Milford show to pick up more.. it was nice meeting you all. Now you know that you can pick up anything, 24/7 online at our site, www.twincreekfarm.com

A quick note to Sarah (the "selectatarian"), who was visiting our booth with her mom right as we were about to open, please send me an email at matt (AT) twincreekfarm (DOT) com ASAP. Thanks!

All of us here want to thank everyone who came out this year, we appreciate it very much and look forward to seeing you next year!
